After many years of using substandard mills to mill our timber, we decided enough was enough. It was not that I grudged our giving many bags of shavings to the organic farm but I felt that the lack of precision in cutting was costing me a fortune.  After years of having our timber cut by various types of mill we hadn't found one that gave us the quality or precision that we required. Until now that is!

We researched various different types of mobile sawmills and found without question the best one on the market. So, complete with a background in milling and the timber business, we put our research to good use and now have what we consider to be the finest sawmill available in the market today.

We decided to set-up Scottish Sawmilling Services which is a family run business.

Environmentally friendly lubrication

We find that the price it costs for us to cut the timber is easily off-set by the precice and flat cut. Which at the end of the day is also extremely environmentaly friendly because of the enormous saving in wast. Planing is much easier and bags of wast much reduced.
